Director & Pediatric Psychologist

Dr. Clendaniel specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents and young adults with anxiety and health-related adjustment issues. She has particular expertise in pain management and treatment of chronic headache and functional gastrointestinal illness. She also works with children and families on techniques for health behavior change related to encopresis and weight management. Dr. Clendaniel is skilled at comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations exploring challenges with academic, learning and attention problems.

Laurie Better Perlis, Psy.D.

Psychologist

Dr. Perlis provides psychotherapy and psycho-educational evaluations to children, adolescents and young adults experiencing a wide range of developmental and psychological difficulties. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of childhood anxiety disorders (OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Specific Phobias, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Separation Anxiety Disorder) and in the evaluation and treatment of individuals (of all ages) with neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD, Executive Functioning challenges, Specific Learning Disorders and Autism Spectrum and related conditions.

Kenneth Gelfand, Ph.D.

Psychologist

Dr. Gelfand specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with autism-spectrum disorders (including Aspergers Disorder and Nonverbal Learning Disability), ADHD, anxiety and oppositional defiant disorder. Treatment often involves helping to reduce behavioral difficulties, improve academic performance, and build appropriate social skills through cognitive-behavioral techniques.

Joyce Cooper-Kahn, Ph.D.

Psychologist

Dr. Cooper-Kahn specializes in helping children manage behavioral, emotional and academic challenges.  She has particular expertise in attention disorders and learning disabilities with an emphasis on interventions for executive functioning difficulties.  She has authored two books on this subject.  For over 25 years, Dr. Cooper-Kahn has worked with the full range of developmental challenges affecting children.  She works closely with parents, teachers and other community professionals to help build each child's competencies.

Stephanie Terracciano, Psy.D.

Psychologist

Dr. Terracciano provides psychological evaluations to children, adolescents and young adults who present with psychological and developmental challenges.  She has expertise in evaluations of neurodevelopmental presentations, such as ADHD and learning disorders.  She also specializes in assessing for the presence of behavioral and emotional challenges. 

Emily Wald, Ph.D.

Psychologist

Dr. Wald specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide array of medical conditions and co-occurring anxiety, mood, and behavioral concerns. Dr. Wald has expertise working with individuals and their families to promote adjustment to acute or chronic medical conditions and provides treatment to improve coping, adherence, and managing disease related symptoms. In addition to providing psychotherapy services, Dr. Wald conducts comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to assist with identifying academic, attentional, and learning problems.
