Young people with chronic illness and pain sometimes struggle with managing symptoms and functioning in their daily lives. These challenges can impact school performance and attendance, peer relationships, family dynamics as well as mood, sleep, and activity level. 

Dr. Clendaniel and Dr. Wald provide cognitive and behavioral intervention to help young people learn strategies to cope with chronic medical conditions and improve daily functioning.  Focus of intervention may also include:
