Assessment Psychologist Job Description
Thinking Tree Psychology is a group practice located in Severna Park, Maryland committed to supporting the mental health and wellness of children, adolescents and young adults. We are seeking an Assessment/Testing Psychologist to join our group of fun, connected, and positive minded clinicians. The Licensed Psychologist position is an employee opportunity that is expected to conduct 2 to 4 comprehensive batteries per month. Typical referrals are for ADHD, LD, and Autism differential diagnosis, sometimes with co-morbid medical conditions. Immediate caseload provided. The Psychologist is expected to participate in virtual and in-person staff meetings, and monthly case consultation meetings are available and encouraged. Therapy services may also be pursued as part of this position, if the clinician is interested and therapeutic interests are a good fit for our practice.
Testing must occur at our Severna Park office, but telehealth work is available on other clinical days, including intake and feedback sessions. Thinking Tree provides a steady stream of referrals and a full library of testing equipment with automated scoring. The psychologist will benefit from being willing to market themselves to grow their referral base and recognition in the community.

Lindsay Clendaniel, Owner and Clinical Director
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology (or related with clinical tracks); and
Active, unrestricted license (PhD or PsyD) in the State of Maryland (must be fully licensed). A copy must be provided to Thinking Tree Psychology.
Available to schedule and complete at least 2 comprehensive assessments per month, provided such sessions are available and referred by Thinking Tree and outside sources. More testing work is available at busy times.
Ability to provide intake and feedback services via telehealth, when requested
Commitment to provide inclusive, culturally-aware services
OTHER QUALIFICATION PREFERENCES:
Post independent licensure experience is preferred
Prior private practice experience is a plus
Interest in growing into leadership roles
HOURS:
Schedules vary depending on the type of services offered. Office space is plentiful and flexible, allowing clinicians to choose their own availability for testing. Clinicians choose and schedule their own sessions. Testing must be offered during typical daytime hours (9am-5pm). Office is available weekdays and weekends. Therapy services must include some afterschool and/or evening hours. Clinicians are not guaranteed a minimum number of patients or sessions per week. Clinicians receive client referrals through their own networking efforts and through Thinking Tree referral channels. Clinicians have the opportunity to screen and/or provide an initial consultation with all referrals before deciding whether or not to work together.
COMPENSATION:
$40,000 to 80,000 yearly compensation range is the gross compensation for (low) 2 testing cases per month to (high) 4 testing cases per month. Compensation may fall greater than this range with a combination of testing and therapy cases. This position is paid a percentage of collected fees-for-service and paid out monthly.
