Glenn Horwitz, PhD - Psychologist

Joining Thinking Tree Psychology in late Spring!

Dr. Horwitz is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. He works with youth and parents experiencing anxiety, mood concerns, trauma-related difficulties, executive functioning challenges, and life transitions. His therapeutic approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and individualized, helping clients build insight, resilience, and practical coping strategies.

Drawing from both cognitive-behavioral and insight-oriented approaches, Dr. Horwitz tailors treatment to each client’s unique strengths and needs. He works closely with families and other professionals when appropriate to ensure coordinated, supportive care.

In addition to therapy services, Dr. Horwitz has extensive experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, which informs his nuanced understanding of learning, attention, and emotional functioning.

Dr. Horwitz describes his approach to treatment:

“Children often communicate their struggles through behavior rather than words. I provide a thoughtful, structured space where we can understand what’s beneath those behaviors, strengthen emotional regulation, and support parents in responding with clarity and confidence. I approach therapy with children as both a space for emotional understanding and skill development. I help children build self-regulation, flexible thinking, and confidence, while working collaboratively with parents to create consistent support at home and school.”
